Deputy Director General

He was born in Denizli in 1981. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Denizli. He graduated from the Department of International Relations of Middle East Technical University in 2004. He attended a German language course (as DAAD scholar) at Heidelberg University. He holds a master's degree in European Studies (as Jean Monnet Scholar) from the University of Bonn.

He started to work as Assistant Expert in the Prime Ministry Turkish Cooperation and Development Administration (TIKA) in 2006. He rendered foreign service in Uzbekistan and Montenegro during his term at TIKA between 2006 and 2011. He appointed to the Prime Ministry Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities as Expert in 2011.

He worked at the Ministry of State in 2010-2011 and at the Ministry of Labour and Social Security in 2011-2015 as Advisor to the Minister in charge of foreign relations. He was appointed to the Ministry of Labour and Social Security in October 2014 and to the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock as Counsellor in January 2016. During this period, he continued to serve as Advisor to the Minister in charge of foreign relations in both Ministries. During his term of Office, he participated in many high-level meetings and represented our country in international meetings and negotiations.

He has been working as Deputy Director General for Foreign Relations since 4 July 2018. 

Ali Aybey has very good command of English and possesses intermediate level German. He is married and has one child.
