G20 Term President Indonesia hosted this year’s 5th meeting of G20 Employment Working Group.

Having been held on 17-19 August 2022 via videoconferencing, the meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministries of Labour of G20 member countries. On behalf of our country, a delegation consisting of Labour Experts Medeni Can Akın and Şahin Metin, under the chairmanship of Ali Aybey, Deputy Director General of Foreign Relations, participated in the meeting.

The meeting continued discussions on the Declaration of Ministers to be adopted at the end of the G20 Labour and Employment Ministers Meeting to be held in Bali on 13-14 September 2022, and participants expressed their views on the technical documents that are envisaged to form the annexes of the Declaration of  Ministers.

It is envisaged that these works will be completed with the 6th meeting to be held just before the Ministerial Meeting.
