Minister Işıkhan Held a Series of Talks in India during His Visit for G20 Meeting


Minister of Labour and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan met with his counterparts from Indonesia, India, Brazil and the Netherlands in India, where G20 Labour and Employment Ministers’ Meeting was held.

Minister Işıkhan held separate talks with Shri Bhupender Yadav, Minister of Labour and Employment of India, Term President of G20, Minister of Labour and Employment of Brazil Luiz Marinho, Minister of Labour Force Ida Fauziyah and Minister of Social Affairs and Employment of the Netherlands Karien van Gennip. At the bilateral meetings targeting enhancement of cooperation between the countries and Ministries, Minister Işıkhan conveyed Türkiye’s views on priorities of employment identified this year within the scope of G20 and shared the endeavours put forth in Türkiye in this regard.

During the talks affirming mutual will of countries in order for bilateral relations in every field to flourish, teams were assigned for concluding several agreements in joint fields of endeavour with the aim of reinforcing the legal basis of cooperation between the ministries.

Furthermore, Minister Işıkhan met with the Director-General of International Labour Organization (ILO) Gilbert Houngbo. Having voiced his support for “Global Coalition for Social Justice” initiative launched within ILO through the efforts exerted by the Director General Houngbo during the meeting, Minister Işıkhan elaborated on the steps taken within the framework of the Century of Türkiye vision outlined by our Distinguished President.

At the meeting, Minister Işıkhan also had talks with his counterparts from Germany, Argentina and Saudi Arabia, as well as officials from other countries holding various ranks.
