Turkish delegation under the presidency of Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Security, Dr. Adnan ERTEM paid a visit to Bosnia&Herzegovina between 25-26 October 2022. The purpose of the visit was to eliminate the problems faced in the implementation of the Social Security Agreement between Türkiye and Bosnia&Herzegovina, which has been in force since 2004.

Mr. ERTEM was accompanied by Mr. İsmail ERTÜZÜN, Vice President of the Social Security Institution and Mr. Oğuz TUNCAY, General Director of Foreign Relations.

Delivering a speech during the meetings held between the delegations, Deputy Minister Dr. Adnan ERTEM stated that a comprehensive social security reform was accomplished in Türkiye in 2008. Mr ERTEM said; “Within the scope of this reform, all employees were covered by one law and thus the integrity of the social insurance legislation was ensured. It has been understood that some provisions of the Social Security Agreement have been interpreted differently by the parties. In this regard, we have reassembled to discuss these problems arising from the implementation process and from the differences in interpretation. So, we are here to exchange ideas and comments on this issue".

During the official visit, Deputy Minister Dr. Adnan ERTEM held meetings with various officials of Bosnia&Herzegovina including the Secretary General of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.
