The Third Meeting of the G20 Employment Working Group in 2022 was held in Geneva.


The third meeting of the G20 Employment Working Group in 2022 under the Indonesian Presidency was held in Geneva, Switzerland, on 14-15 June 2022.  

A delegation including Deputy General Director Ali Aybey and Labour Expert Medeni Can Akın from our General Directorate, Geneva Labour Office personnel Fatih Acar and Assistant Expert Damlanur Arslantaş from the Ministry of Treasury and Finance attended the meeting.

Representatives of G20 member and invited countries and international organizations attended the meeting, which was held after the 110th International Labour Conference organized by the International Labour Organization (ILO).

At the meeting, negotiations began on the Ministerial Declaration, which is expected to be accepted at the end of the G20 Ministers of Labour and Employment Meeting to be held in Bali on 14 September 2022. During the negotiations conducted on the Declaration, the views of the G20 countries on the issues of “employment of persons with disabilities, vocational education, creating sustainable employment and effective protection in business life”, which are the priorities of the G20 Indonesia Presidency in the field of employment, were discussed.

These studies are expected to be completed with additional meetings to be held in the coming months.
