Under India’s Presidency, the third G20 Employment Group meeting was held in Geneva, Switzerland between 31 May and 2 June 2023.

In the meeting Türkiye was represented by a delegation consisting of Mr. Çağatay Halat - Head of International Organisations Department, Mr. Şahin Metin - Labour Expert in General Directorate for Foreign Relations, Ministry of Labour and Social Security and Ms. Şaziye İrem Demir, Treasury Expert from the Ministry of Treasury and Finance.

During the meeting, the ongoing work on the G20 Brisbane Goal on women's labour force participation and the G20 Antalya Goal on reducing the number of young people neither in employment nor in education (NEET) was presented in the framework of the information on G20 member countries provided by ILO and OECD. During a significant part of the meeting, negotiations continued on the G20 Labour and Employment Ministerial Declaration to be adopted at the G20 Labour and Employment Ministers’ Meeting to be held in Indore, India in July.
