The first meeting of the G20 Employment and Working Group in 2023 under the Indian Presidency was held in Jodhpur, India on 2-4 February 2023.

The meeting was attended by a delegation consisting of Çağatay Halat, Head of Department for International Organizations, Labour Expert Şahin Metin from our General Directorate and Treasury Expert Şaziye İrem Demir from the Ministry of Treasury and Finance.

At the meeting, G20 member countries, invited countries and international organisations made presentations and exchanged views on the priority areas identified by the Indian Presidency in the field of employment, namely "Addressing Global Skills Gaps", "Gig and Platform Economy and Social Protection", "Sustainable Financing of Social Security". In this context, a presentation was made by our Directorate General on the first priority area "Addressing Global Skills Gaps", including information on the situation in the world and in our country.

The next G20 Employment and Working Group Meeting is envisaged to be held in Guwahati, India on 3-5 April 2023.
