A Social Security Agreement has been signed between the Republic of Türkiye and the Republic of Uzbekistan
The Social Security Agreement between the Republic of Türkiye and the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with the Administrative Agreement concerning the implementation of this Agreement, was concluded by our Minister, Prof. Dr Vedat IŞIKHAN, and the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Mr Bakhtiyor SAİDOV, in the presence of our President, H.E. Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN, and the President of Uzbekistan, H.E. Şevket MİRZİYOYEV.
The signing ceremony took place in Ankara on 29 October 2026, following a bilateral meeting between our President, H.E. Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN, and the President of Uzbekistan, H.E. Shavkat MIRZIYOYEV, as part of the 13th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS).
This Agreement marks the 37th bilateral social security agreement to which our country is a party. Once it enters into force, the signed Agreement will ensure that the social security rights of citizens of both countries are safeguarded on the basis of reciprocity, that periods of service spent in the other country are aggregated, and that duplicate insurance coverage is prevented.
