Protocol of the 9th Joint Permanent Commission Meeting was signed between Turkey and Azerbaijan

9th Joint Permanent Commission Meeting was held in Baku/Azerbaijan on 2 February 2018. The meeting was co-chaired by the Minister of Labour and Social Security of Turkey, Jülide Sarieroglu and Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population of Azerbaijan, Salim Muslumov.

At the end of the meeting, Ministers signed a protocol envisaging strengthening cooperation in the field of labour and social security.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister Sarıeroğlu expressed that the protocol includes the training of the unemployed and jobseekers to develop their professional knowledge and skills, sharing of experience for the establishment of electronic statistical infrastructure, taking steps to facilitate the life of labour force in both countries.

Minister Sarıeroğlu stated that the protocol also included the implementation of more facilitating procedures regarding the work permits and noted that they will improve cooperation in the field of occupational health and safety, especially in the construction sector, work harder to struggle against informal economy, and develop projects on women, youth and persons with disabilities.

Minister Muslumov also stated that the relations between the two countries are at a high level and expressed their desire to further cooperation in the fields of labour and social security.
