Administrative Agreement on the Implementation of the Türkiye-Iran Social Security Agreement was Signed
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan paid a visit to Iran on 19 July 2022 for the 7th Meeting of the Türkiye -Iran High Level Cooperation Council.
During the visit, the Administrative Agreement on the Implementation of the Social Security Agreement was also signed between the two countries.
The agreement was signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Iranian Deputy Minister of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare Mohammad Hadi Zahedivafa.
With the agreement, the implementation procedures of the "Social Security Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran", which was signed in Ankara on 16 April 2016, were determined.
The agreement will ensure the social security rights of the citizens of the two countries.
With the entry into force of the Administrative Agreement and the Social Security Agreement, it will be ensured that the social security rights of those subject to the legislation of both countries will be protected and guaranteed within the framework of reciprocity principles.
