Combating Discrimination

As one of the major problems confronted by Turkish citizens abroad, discrimination in the labour market is one of the issues our Ministry deals with elaborately. Although rule of non-discrimination against immigrants who are legally integrated in the labour market is a commonly accepted principle, the sphere where immigrants are most subject to discrimination is working life. Despite the legal arrangements introduced by international regulations and national legislation, direct and indirect discriminatory practices in working life are quite common. This section focuses on national and international legislation that provides protection against discrimination in working life, as well as information on application centres for our citizens subject to discrimination abroad.
