Stakeholders of Working Life Come Together at the Football Tournament

Within the scope of events marking 1 May – Labour and Solidarity Day, our Ministry organised the 2nd Workers, Employers and Public Employees Football Tournament, in which the football team of our Directorate General of Foreign Relations and European Union secured third place.

Minister of Labour and Social Security, Prof. Dr. Vedat Işıkhan, attended the final match of the tournament, held at the Ministry as part of the Labour and Solidarity Day celebrations.

Following the tournament, which was themed ‘Labour is Sacred’, Minister Işıkhan took part in a friendly match on the astroturf pitch with representatives from trade unions and members of the press.

In the match for third place, held as part of the tournament, our Directorate General’s football team faced the Directorate General of Occupational Health and Safety. In a contest marked by sportsmanship and fair play, our team emerged victorious and finished in third place.
