Deputy Minister Prof. Dr Lutfihak Alpkan Received Sri Lankan Deputy Minister Arun Hemachandra and His Delegation

Arun Hemachandra, Sri Lankan Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Overseas Employment, and his delegation paid a visit to our Deputy Minister, Prof. Dr Lutfihak Alpkan, on 27 October 2026.

During the meeting, discussions centred on strengthening existing cooperation between Türkiye and Sri Lanka and exploring new opportunities for collaboration in the fields of labour, employment and social security. The two sides exchanged views on current developments in these areas and proposed solutions to common challenges.

Mutual satisfaction with the friendly relations between Türkiye and Sri Lanka was also expressed during the meeting.
