A meeting was held between Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus regarding health insurance arrangements.

Under the Social Security Agreement between our country and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), delegations from both countries met in Nicosia on 21 October 2026 to discuss health insurance practices.

The meeting, which was also attended by our Deputy Director-General, Dr Selim Dağlıoğlu, was chaired by Ömer Küçükevcilioğlu, Director-General of Pension Services at the Social Security Institution (SGK), on behalf of our delegation comprising representatives from our Directorate-General and the SGK. The TRNC delegation was led by Op. Dr Mustafa Murat Kalfaoğlu, Under-Secretary of the TRNC Ministry of Health, and Sezgi Ballı, Under-Secretary of the TRNC Ministry of Labour and Social Security.

During the meeting, current issues relating to the Social Security Agreement between the two countries and the Health Services Protocol between the SGK and the TRNC Ministry of Health were discussed.
