Preparations are underway for the OECD Skills Summit 2026, which will be hosted by Türkiye in İstanbul on April 27–28, 2026.

The national coordination of the Summit preparations is being carried out on behalf of our Ministry by our Directorate General, the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR), and the Ministry of National Education.

In this context, a delegation led by our Deputy Director General Dr. Ömer Faruk Aydemir, consisting of Deputy Director General Mr. İbrahim Oğuzhan Yıldırım from the General Directorate of İŞKUR, a representative from the Ministry of National Education, and staff from the General Directorate of İŞKUR, met in Istanbul with OECD Skills Centre Director El Iza Mohamedou and Policy Analyst Benjamin Game to conduct evaluations regarding the preparatory process.

During the meetings, it was agreed that preparatory work would continue according to the established schedule and that inter-institutional coordination would be strengthened to ensure that Istanbul hosts the OECD Skills Summit effectively and successfully.
